SHARP DRESSED MAN Thomas Johnson USA 2010 Flowering Mid Season 36”

Tall Bearded Iris

Black bitone with vivid orange beards and a sweet scent.  We love this one, so much so we imported it, prior to us importing it, it was not in Australia. This iris is a standout in the garden.  You will be fixated by the combination of smooth black violet falls, and the extremely attractive purple standards. Mesmerising! This is compounded by the super bright orange beards which provide a stunning contrast. This variety has show stems, a sweet fragrance and must be seen to be appreciated, photos don't do it justice! Anyone that sees it flowering adds it to their list. Just Stunning! A Must Havekiss I have used one of Mid America Garden photos taken by the hybridiser Thomas Johnson with his consent.

Iris flowering season commences in early October  and if weather conditions are ideal can continue well into November. Orders will not be dispatched until after flowering, it is important the rhizome is given time to put on growth after flowering so we aim to dig your order early to mid December, weather permitting. Our rhizomes are trimmed washed, sanitised and left a day or two to dry, this makes your buying experience a positive one.   If you can wait the ideal time for planting is February - April.

If you have a specific time that you wish to receive your order, please sent a text message with you invoice number through to 0413188375 with your request.

Please Note:

As a bio security requirement all orders received from Western Australia and Tasmania require a Plant Health Certificate and treatment of plants before an order can be processed and dispatched.
